Le Mas des Abeilles is a pretty 19th century French farmhouse 1Km from the popular Drôme Provençale village of La Bégude-de-Mazenc in southern France.
Once a fruit farm producing peaches and apricots, the house is now a bed & breakfast offering you comfortable and elegant rooms, a friendly welcome and perhaps the best breakfast in France.
We are less than two hours drive from the cities of Lyon and Marseilles in the beautiful Pays de Dieulefit.
The perfect location for weekend breaks and longer stays enjoying the Mediterranean climate and exploring the mountain gorges, vineyards and lavender fields of the Drôme, Vaucluse and Ardèche, as well as the many markets and historic towns and villages of this amazing Rhône-Alpes / Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur border region.

Our English style of service means hospitality rather than formality, and our well appointed guest rooms provide modern facilities more often found in upmarket hotels, however don't be confused by that, we are not a hotel, we are very much a Chambre d'hote, we just like to offer you much more than anyone else and you are very much a welcome guest in our home
We understand that you desire more than just a bed and simple breakfast these days, which is why we are renowned for our fabulous breakfasts and our bedrooms are furnished and equipped to a very high standard and offer the latest technology. In our guest rooms you will find mini refrigerators with full width freezer compartments stocked with ice, chilled bottled water, soft drinks and fresh fruit. Tassimo drink makers provide free coffee, hot chocolate and a selection of teas. Large wide-screen LED televisions with integrated computers giving you full Internet access as well as Wifi and Ethernet sockets for your own personal computers. French and English TV stations are available, including several HD channels, plus a digital media library accessible via the TV remote control that offers a wide range of entertainment. We do not offer evening meals, however within a short drive of the house you will find a large choice of restaurants ranging from traditional Provencale cuisine to Chinese, Italian and tapas, from reasonably priced set menus in an Auberge to haute cuisine in a famous restaurant. If you do not wish to drive anywhere, there are two nice restaurants, a pizza take away and two cafes that offer snack menus in the village a short walk from our house.
